steevc just finished a 7.28km run, that lasted for 42 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 512.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
When I checked my weather app this morning it was showing a steady 6C all day. It was looking dark out as it was overcast. I put on a warmer top just in case. It felt damp as I went out, but was not actually raining.

I did my usual run up the hill to Fairfield. I was taking it easy to start with, but pushed a bit harder once I was up there for an anti-clockwise loop. It was feeling fairly tough, but I tried to keep going.

I was well warmed up after that. My blue top is really warm and does me for when it gets below freezing. I have not needed my gloves yet.

I have connected with a fair few people on Strava. Some are friends or people I met at parkrun. I get some followers who I do not know at all. I am not sure why they bother. It is not like Hive where more followers can actually earn you something. Runners can be competitive, so maybe they compete on that as well.

Run free!

I didn't want to get out of bed this morning but I did. I did what I thought was going to be a quick and easy routine, but it ended up being more intense than I thought. Kicked my butt a little bit. Nice job on your run!

Well done on doing it. Motivation can be hard to find sometimes, but we know it's worth doing these things.

Yeah, for sure!

Good to get those winter runs in..... same weather as we've got here today, quintessential November!

I'll keep running through the winter to keep my fitness up. It's good to have some outdoor time.

I'm a bit behind on your adventures. What is the "blue top" that you are referring to? Is it special for running?

It's just a running top. I have my black one that may have been better today, but it is in the wash. The blue one does not look anything too special, but it really keeps me warm and was a bit too much today. I had a t-shirt on under it. It can be hard to know what clothing to wear on a run, but at least with layers you can adjust as you go. I seem to get by with shorts all year. I see others out who are much more covered up, but I soon warm up.

I just found this old pic with the blue top :)

buh 6 degrees, here it's about 12 in the evenings at training times I think and it feel chilly... Especially because of the humidity though...

About the followers on Strava: some want to know what others are doing, just because, or to learn something (i.e. toadapt their own trainings or strategy and others wnat to compete with you on the same circuit or in segments. !PIZZA

There's a guy in Iran who likes all my runs. No idea who he is. I just find it strange as he won't learn much from me. I like to see what my friends are doing, but I'm mostly on there for my own stats.

I'm also not looking much to people I don't know, but there's always something to learn, even if it's seeing an other point of view. It could help...

I like generally the fitness trend and now I like it in particular since it's going in the irght direction again. I see that I need to adjust weight and max HR though... hahahha
