I'd go even further, not only is it impossible to directly target belly fat, studies show it is also one of the last to go for most people, the stubborn fat! Hence the need for real long term diet improvement.

Yep, one of my best friends is a personal trainer and she says "it's always the last to go." It could be because of some sort of body fat hierarchy but what is more likely is that there is just so much more of it there than in other places on most people's bodies. It would be interesting to find out why but people probably don't know.
Yeah, I remember reading some kind of explanation a long time ago, something about visceral fat vs fat under the skin. A quick google search seems to mention the same, but for sure, my personal experience confirms it!
