RE: I've now been back in the gym consistently for 2 months

in EXHAUST3 years ago

I’m extremely lucky to have been athletic and thin pretty much my entire life. I was 100% getting lazy and too comfortable with a lack of exercise in my life. Powering through that lazy state has allowed me to already do things I could never do in the past. I was a vegetarian during the the years that I’ve ever been in the gym consistently during my 20s. Now that I’ve been eating an abundance of meat for a few years now. I can tell a drastic difference in my strength. Although I’ve only been back at it for 2 months, I’m already past levels of strength that I had gained during my aerial yoga teaching and gym going days of 2015-2018.

Only thing that sucks about being 170lbs instead of 140lbs is that it’s much harder to pump out 20+ pull ups and 100 push ups. I’m afraid to try at this weight.

I’m making progress and not being a lazy POS, truly that’s all that matters. I like to eat good food, that’s my weakness. Luckily I never drink alcohol without even having to try not to.
