A bushwalk in a dress? Yes, it's that hot.

It was a much better start to my day today than it has been for a while. I slept pretty well. I got sunlight in my eyes as I drank two big glasses of water. I got outside and pulled out some weeds. I did a meditation of sorts and ate breakfast when I was hungry. All good things for my physical and mental well being.

By mid morning I was feeling great. I managed to make myself a 1 litre green smoothie for lunch with oodles of leafy green veg, a handful of omega 3 rich seeds and a handful of fruit. The smoothie for lunch is the norm these days but having a whole litre (just over a quart for you peeps in the USA) is new. I was having just 650mL ish but after consuming a lot of nutrition info from a doctor who specialising in supporting people to heal really serious, chronic diseases I now realise that I needed to up my water intake considerably.

None of this "8 cups of water a day" business. I'm aiming for more like 12.

So I was on a roll today... But...

By about 1pm, half way through that epic smoothie, it was getting so hot I ran out of steam to do some of the more challenging tasks I wanted to do today. So I used cold water on my skin to cool me down, cranked up the fan, and switched my focus to clearing out my inbox instead.

At least it was progress on something that needed doing, right?

Now, exercise! I'm not sure who wants to exercise when it's pushing 30'C and stupidly high humidity. Not I, sir. Not I. But we did it anyway, because we love spending time in the bush. It always makes us feel better. And it's always cooler in there than it is in our house.

I thought I was going to do well do 1.5-2km but managed more than 3km of a meandering route along pretty single tracks. I was happy we went, as usual ;)

And, as usual, proof of my activity. Evidence of the dress I wore for our "bushwalk". (Photo by me. Of my watch, by Garmin).

I just finished a 3.13km walking that lasted about 0hh:51mm:20ss !

That's a lot of activity for such a hot humid day! Drinking all that water was probably a good idea. Thanks for sharing the interesting pics! :)
