How To Get More Power Behind Guitar Bends

img_0309.png

It may not always be possible in the context of what you’re playing, but as much as you can, you should try doing guitar bends with your ring (or 3rd) finger.

Why? Because when you use your ring finger, you can “back it up” or “support” it with your middle (2nd) and pointer/index (1st) fingers. That way when you bend, you are combining the strength of all 3 fingers, instead of just one.

So next time you do a string bend, try using 3 fingers instead of just one! Your bends will sound better, and your fingers will thank you for dividing the work load up!
