(ES) ¡Hola de nuevo amigos! Hoy os vengo a hablar de la Musa de mi adolescencia y juventud. De ella fui fan, pero "fan de póster" y a día de hoy lo sigo siendo. Me refiero a Mónica Naranjo, la pantera de Figueras. Acompañarme en este viaje en el tiempo a través de su discografía y de cómo llegué a conocerla.
Empecemos por contar un poquito quién es Mónica Naranjo. Pues bien, su nombre completo es Mónica Naranjo Carrasco y nació el 23 de Mayo de 1974. Es cantante, compositora, escritora, productora musical, actriz y presentadora. Es española, concretamente de Figueras, Cataluña e hija de padres andaluces. Desde pequeña le gustaba cantar y supo con sólo 4 años que quería dedicarse a la música. Ya con 14 años, su madre le regaló una grabadora de voz para que se grabara cantando y siempre le dio su apoyo.
Su carrera musical arranca en 1992 con una gira promocional por España que no tuvo el éxito que esperaba, por lo que cruzó el charco y se fue a México a "hacerse las Américas". Es en México dónde lanza su primer disco "Mónica Naranjo", en 1994, ya con 20 años. Para aquel entonces, en España era una completa desconocida.
Sólo algunas pocas personas sabían de su existencia. Entre ellas, un chico que fue al programa "¡Sorpresa, sorpresa!" que presentaba Isabel Gemio. Hablamos del año 1997. Este chaval era fan de Mónica y su mayor sueño era conocerla en persona.
En ese programa vi por vez primera a Mónica Naranjo, pues yo tampoco la conocía hasta ese mismo instante. Y ¿qué puedo decir? Que aluciné, me encantó, quedé enamorada de su voz y de ella al completo.
Además, a modo de anécdota, durante la actuación, estuve todo el tiempo preguntándome en voz alta, ¿pero quién es esta mujer? ¿De dónde ha salido? Es española, ¿cómo es que no la conozco con semejante voz que tiene? Además de flipar todo el rato, claro está. En realidad, fue una sorpresa y un bombazo para toda España.
Os dejo viendo y escuchando aquel momento que para mí forma parte de mis recuerdos y que sin duda, fue un antes y un después en mi vida. Interpretó la canción "Desatamé" de su álbum "Palabra de mujer".
