(ES/EN) TRES CANCIONES DE NUESTRA VIDA//THREE SONGS OF OUR LIFE

(ES) Hola de nuevo, queridos amigos de la comunidad de Music4life. Siguiendo la genial iniciativa de @dvelandiaa de escribir sobre 3 canciones que marcaron nuestra vida, utilizando la música como vehículo que nos transporta en el tiempo, me uno y lo asumo como si de un reto se tratase, pues hay que poner a prueba nuestra mente, haciendo memoria y recordando qué tres canciones exactamente marcaron nuestra vida, de entre tantas que hayamos escuchado. Divido esta experiencia en tres etapas fundamentales: niñez, adolescencia y vida adulta. Espero que algunos os sintáis identificados y os unáis a este reto o al menos disfrutéis de las canciones. INFANCIA
Como expresé en algún comentario, mi influencia musical viene marcada por el amor de mi padre hacia la música y de mi amor por él. Toda mi niñez estuve muy apegada a él e íbamos mucho juntos de viaje. Al principio, cantaba él solo, pero no tardé en unirme a él, acompañándolo, cantando a dúo.
El estilo musical de mi padre iba desde la copla española, pasando por las baladas y boleros, hasta el mariachi mexicano. En su repertorio estaban grandes cantantes como Rocío Jurado, Raphael, Rocío Durcal, Juanito Valderrama, Antonio Molina, Pablo Abraira, Julio Iglesias, Nino Bravo, Cecilia, Karina, Marifé de Triana, Sara Montiel, Lola Flores, Juanita Reina, Marisol, entre otros/as.
Era muy divertido ir de copiloto y pasar el viaje acompañados de música y nuestras voces. Aquello se parecía mucho a la felicidad. Quizás es porque lo era.

CHILDHOOD
As I expressed in a comment, my musical influence is marked by my father's love for music and my love for him. All my childhood I was very attached to him and we went on trips a lot together. At first he sang alone, but it didn't take long for me to join him, accompany him and sing a duet.
My father's musical style ranged from Spanish copla, through ballads and boleros, to Mexican mariachi. In his repertoire there were great singers such as Rocío Jurado, Raphael, Rocío Durcal, Juanito Valderrama, Antonio Molina, Pablo Abraira, Julio Iglesias, Nino Bravo, Cecilia, Karina, Marifé de Triana, Sara Montiel, Lola Flores, Juanita Reina, Marisol, among others.
It was a lot of fun being a co-pilot and spending the trip accompanied by music and our voices. This was a lot like happiness. Maybe it's because he was.

ADOLESCENCIA
(ES) Entramos en una etapa más rebelde, donde empezaba a reivindicar mi propia identidad y libertad. Comenzaba a mostrar un cierto desapego con todo lo que había conocido hasta ese momento. Típico de la adolescencia, es bien sabido, son momentos de buscar el conocerse a una misma e ir en pos de lo que sentimos como gustos propios, le pese a quién le pese. Pues bien, mi preferencia musical se alejó muchísimo de la de mi padre. Me empecé a interesar por cantantes como Mónica Naranjo, Luz Casal, Tino Casal, Take That, Alejandro Sanz, Mecano, Shakira, Presuntos implicados, Amistades peligrosas, OBK, Sergio Dalma, Marta Sánchez, Ketama, Laura Pausini, Antonio Flores, Chayanne, Jarabe de Palo, La oreja de Van Gogh, el gaitero Carlos Núñez, Joaquín Sabina, Bon jovi, Héroes del silencio, U2, etc, etc. Para este tiempo, sólo compartía con mi padre la música de Pasión Vega y algunas canciones de Luz Casal. Siempre me pedía que cantara por Pasión Vega y cuando me escuchaba cantar por Mónica Naranjo, no era de su agrado y a mí, cuanto menos les gustaba a los demás, más me gustaba a mí. Supongo que era una mezcla de llevar la contraría y que realmente me gustaba, incluso a día de hoy me sigue encantando y considero que tiene una voz espectacular. Así que para mí, en esa época fue determinante Mónica Naranjo, y ella es mi segunda propuesta con la canción "Desátame".

ADOLESCENCE

(ES) A partir de una edad, entre la juventud y la edad adulta, sobretodo en esa última etapa volví a apegarme de nuevo a mi padre. Digamos que él se modernizó, siempre conservando sus gustos musicales de toda la vida y yo volví a retomar los anteriores estilos sin perder los nuevos. En un punto intermedio nos encontramos y volvimos a disfrutar de cantar juntos. Descubrimos el Karaoke y fue lo más. Recuerdo cantar juntos canciones que interpreta Pasión Vega, como "Lucía", "Olvidarte" o "Gris", entre otras. Y hay una canción de la que ya hablé en un post anterior, que marcó mi vida. Sobretodo, fue muy importante para afrontar la pérdida de mi padre. Esta canción es "One moment in time" de Whitney Houston. Recuerdo aprenderla y cantársela a mi padre y él emocionarse. Una vez que él nos dejó, me agarré a esa canción como el que se agarra a un estandarte de superación personal. Os la dejo en versión Karaoke, haciendo honor a mi padre y a todos los momentos que cantamos juntos.

ADULT LIFE

Once he left us, I clung to that song like someone clinging to a banner of self-improvement. I leave it in Karaoke version, honoring my father and all the moments we sing together.
