Listening to music helps the brain maintain greater attention. However, in certain cases it can also be a source of distraction and hinder the ability to concentrate. This depends not only on the personality of the person but also on the type of music being listened to. Generally it is much easier to concentrate with music that does not have lyrics or a moving rhythm.
