Hello people this is Monz from India and hope you all are doing well. There was a time in my life when i was totally depressed and wanted to end up my life as due to lockdowns i was suffering financial crisis and there was no job available.
But suddenly one day I promised myself that i will overcome this depression. As it was sucking me from inside .
And there begin my journey of spirituality
I used to meditate atleast twice a day and went for walk every evening and i also connected myself from nature. I started loving trees , flowers butterflies and all the animals around me. And slowly i came to know that tough times does not lasts longer.
What is depression?
Depression can be defined as a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. It affects how you feel, think and behave and can lead to a variety of physical and emotional problem. Though the word itself is small but there are thousands of reasons or emotions hidden behind it. Depression is a state of mind where people's intelligence works too slow or rather stop working .
Reasons behind Depression
There can be various reasons behind a person being depression some of them are:
1)heart breaks
- divorce
- poor medical conditions
- family history ( misunderstanding or fights between family members)
- Unemployment
- Stressful events etc.
Symptoms of a depressed person
Anxiety , Anger, frustration , mood swings such as crying , rude behaviour and plans for suicidal thoughts . Sometimes people tends to increase the consumption of alcohol , drugs and cigarettes etc. which also damage them physically. The person remains sad most of the time and either sleeps too much or sleep too less. Low self-esteem development occurs inside them.
What is Spirituality and how does it helps in reducing depression or overcome depression?
spirituality referred to a religious process of re-formation which "aims to recover the original shape of a person".Spirituality involves the recognition of a feeling or sense or belief that there is something greater than myself, something more to being human than sensory experience, and that the greater whole of which we are part is cosmic or divine in nature. ... An opening of the heart is an essential aspect of true spirituality.
Person entering into the world of spirituality experience many changes in their body like mental calmness , peace understanding inner-self being detached from stress and anxiety . They become more peaceful and starts enjoying every moment of life and also starts loving nature and all the beings around them.Many studies have found an inverse correlation between religious/spiritual involvement and depression. Yet several obstacles impede spiritually integrated treatment of depressed individuals. These include specialization and fragmentation of care, inexperience of clinicians and spiritual care providers, ideological bias, boundary and ethical concerns, and the lack of an accepted conceptual framework for integrated treatment.
That why is important to always see the good side of the force.

In these times it is very difficult not to get depressed with so many things happening, however the most important thing is to realize that you are and seek help. The best help will always be within you, in you is the answer and when you have the will you can always do it. We must always seek peace of mind, live in gratitude and look for the positive side.
