This week, I made a list of the countries with the worst stock market crashes this year. Busted the myth of the dividend aristocrats ETF. Investigated how long crisis last and if real estate stocks are cheap or not.

This is my weekly chart recommendation for you. I started a new project on my financial web page, Agelessfinance, publishing now “charts of the day” for you, readers. I present you the summaries and if you are interested in the topics, or the charts in better resolution, just click on the image. But the posts contain much more than a chart. Also, click if you want to know more about the background of these trends.

Busting the Myth of the Dividend Aristocrats ETF

  • A popular passive income idea is the living on dividend stocks, for example, the “dividend aristocrats ETF”.
  • But the SPDR S&P Dividend ETF fell much more in the crisis than the normal index fund.
  • Is this so bad? What can be the reason?

  • In developed countries, you don’t find many cheap stocks now.
  • U.S. stock market indices have already risen year-to-year.

How Long Will the Crisis Last?

  • The normal state of the economy is growing.
  • Crises always end. The average length of crises has declined in modern times.

Is Cheap Real Estate Investment Only a Dream?

  • Real estate investment can be attractive in times of crisis, especially if inflation rises.
  • The central bank policies are supporting inflation.
  • Real estate stocks traded on stock exchanges fell sharply.
  • But the index neither in the U.S., nor Europe nor Asia has fallen very much in the long term.
  • If the price has fallen, you may not be sure it is cheap.
