You won't see me in the discords.
I hear discord is run/was founded by pedophiles, and I don't want to get involved.
Hopefully this issue doesn't ruin the experience for people I've recently onboarded.

They have a chat client, now, but few people use it.
Feel free to dm me on beechat, if you like.
I don't really use the open hive chat, but do read it sporadically on its discord bridge.
If you want a link to hive's open chat, I can probably find one.
If voices in the community don't express their viewpoints we all have less data to work with.
Not optimal, imo.
It's cool that a chat was finally implemented, I had been groaning about the unused memo keys for some time. Hopefully encryption is implemented.
I may try it out, but it's saying something about needing to sign in a different way right now so I'm putting it off.

No encryption, just account verification.
Aggroed has it on his servers and made the client open source for the different frontends.
