When I first started blogging, I got 0 votes so many times. But I was new, so I kept plugging and tried to do the best I could. Eventually, a few people got to know me and appreciate my efforts. It takes time and patience, but that does pay off, in my experience. The contest is a good way for people to get to know you, to recognize your name and your blog.
