RE: My Fossil Hunt on Rügen #2 (including video)

in Amazing nature (AN)6 months ago

Ohhhh I would love to have planted fossils some day! Here there are many places where it's also illegal to take fossils with you but some areas are open for the public. I get the reason for these rules but its also good to know that people brake them occasionally. Rules are made to be broken and if there are not too many people taking everything home it is okay ^^ I will keep your secret and will not tell anyone ;)

These belemnites are my first fossils and hopefully there are more to come to my little collection :) I already have scouted a chalk mine near hannover where I can go to search for seastars, sponges and more (bigger) of these belemnites :)

Let's never forget that even if humanity will bring global warming to a level we all go instict (and most of the animals we share this planet with), nature will always find a way and in 66 mio years all the bad things we did will be the things other creatures could find at the beaches. I personally am doing my best to avoid such a story but at least it all will be good in far future ^^

I agree, as individuals we can't work miracles but we can do our bit. And yes, nature always regains its place as soon as man disappears, I am fascinated by places like this. I wish you many fossils hunting!! 😁
