Now is the time when these cute little animals are actively stocking up on food, preparing for the cold winter.
This is very important, because how hard and how much they work determines whether they survive the long cold winter or not. They hibernate around the beginning to middle of October, depending on the weather. And this hibernation lasts until mid-April.
In the middle of winter they sometimes wake up to recover and get some food. For this purpose they have separate rooms in their dwellings, and even more than one.

Beautiful photos, thanks for sharing them
I have seen a documentary about squirrels and their process of storing food for the winter and it is truly admirable
What beautiful photographs, dear friend @ratel
I take this opportunity to wish you a great day
I have seen the chipmunks gathering maple seeds lately that have fallen to the ground. They are certainly busy this time of year. Fantastic photos @ratel. ♥
