Hello everyone, happy Sunday afternoon. I tell you that in my routine of photographing natural moments such as sunrises, sunsets, natural phenomena, flora and fauna, I have felt a great satisfaction, but I have also experienced a kind of frustration because I have not been able to catch an image of butterflies in their habitat, nor of the little birds that usually visit me in the mornings. And the funniest thing is that I had them just a few centimeters away, and I carefully tried to steal an image of such beauty, but no way, it was impossible. In that attempt, I have had the opportunity to meet nice little friends from the small world of fauna, such as some insects from my garden.
This is a green grasshopper, in other countries it is known as a "chapulín".
It lives among the plants in my garden, and sometimes visits me in the window frame. They rarely enter the house, unlike the crickets that are everywhere.
This other species is a common land snail. This one is very small, and its little head could not be seen.
Another species I found in my space was this beautiful dragonfly that fascinated me with the delicacy and transparency of its wings. If it had not been for the flapping, I do not realize it was there. It blended in with the wall.
This is another type of brown grasshopper. It is less common to see them here, the green ones are always more abundant. The brown ones are also called bush locusts, as I have been told, but by that name I know a very large orange with black type of grasshopper that destroys plantations.
And the last species I was able to photograph, but at a very sad moment in its life, was this small butterfly. I was sitting under a tree, and she fell on me, giving her last flutters until she died. For a moment I thought it would fly away again and I photographed the moment it landed, but when I saw that it stopped moving, I understood what it was about.
Thank you for visiting my blog and for sharing with me these wonderful manifestations of nature. Happy sunday.
