My Introduction post on Hive

in OCD2 days ago

Good day everyone. I'm new here and so excited to be part of this great community. I am grateful for this opportunity to learn and share my thoughts and experience with others in this space.

My name is Ukeme E'det Ibuot. I am a 22 years old lady, dark in complexion and 5.11 ft tall. Born into the family of Mr/Mrs Edet Asuqwo Ibuot of Ifa Ikot Ubo in Uyo local government in Akwa Ibom State. My father Mr Edet Ibuot is a federal civil servant working with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as a horticulturist. My lovely mother Mrs Glory Edet Ibuot is a business woman who is into commercial production of soap (also known as soda) for laundry, bathing, dishwashing etc. My only sibling Abasiono Edet Ibuot is a young lady in her twenties, a teacher at Teeves schools committed to teaching and nurturing the young generation for the future.

At age 2, I started my basic education at St. Joseph Nursery/Primary school located at Anua offot, Uyo. Upon relocation to my home town in 2010, I got enrolled in Emmanuel Bright Future school, Ifa Ikot Okpon where I got my First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC). In 2012, I graduated from primary school as the best science pupil while holding the position of the first assistant head girl of the school. That same year, I was admitted into Jesus Saves Schools, located at the new timber market road, Uyo where I sat for my Secondary School Certificate Education (SSCE) and graduated in 2018 as one of the best science students and as the school ambassador. I proceeded to study computer science in the University of Uyo, Uyo where I am currently doing my final year.

I am a Christian worshiping God with the Christian Fellowship Evang (Nig) Inc (CFEN). The church is known for her mission of spreading the gospel and making Christ known to every nation of the world. With my passion for serving God, I joined the choir department in my branch church CFEN 169 Nwaniba road as a treble and backup singer. Recently, I was appointed the assistant secretary in the youth department of my church.

Passionate about fashion, I enrolled for a fashion training class at Shuga’s design. A fashion hub dedicated to transforming mere fabrics into beautiful outfits and designs for both male and female to fit any occasion. There, I was trained on making different styles of cloth for different occasions. Ranging from corporate dress to simple gowns, ankara dress, aso ebi, babies and bridal wear. This skill has been very useful as I have made over fifty dresses after my training.

Again, I own the brand Yhukay’s Bubbles, a brand that is known for producing quality liquid soap for different cleaning purposes.

As a computer science student with passion for technology, I chose data analysis as my career path. I have embraced opportunities to expand my skill set, working with tools like Excel, Tableau, and Python to analyze data, create impactful visualizations, and contribute meaningfully to various projects. Between February and August 2024, I undertook my SIWES program at Techroom Services, a tech hub that creates opportunities for techies to practice and improve on their skills. There I acquired more knowledge in the data analysis field and hopefully will be getting my certification by the end of October this year.

I am very friendly and committed to building good relationships. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, whether it’s through casual hangouts, exploring new places, or simply chatting over a meal. My hobbies are singing, dancing, cooking, watching movies and beading. My favorite colors are blue, burnt-orange and green. I’m not a fan of noisy places, as I prefer environments that allow for genuine conversations and connections.

In everything I do, I try to stay true to myself and open to what life has to offer. Whether it is following my dreams, taking care of my relationships, or seeking for new chances, I believe in delighting in every moment and growing as I go.

I am very passionate about learning and I embrace every opportunity I get to expand my knowledge. I believe my stay in hive will get me exposed to more positive ideas and experience and I will have the opportunity to share my thoughts too. Thanks to my sister @abaseddie and thanks to @gloreal for helping me get done with the introduction post.

Thanks for stopping by my Blog.

I am @yhukayibuot.

Welcome to the Hive community @yhukayibuot!
We sincerely hope you find everything you are looking for and have found a new home here.

Seven suggestions to consider:

  1. Guard your passwords carefully, and only publish with the posting key,
  2. Use your active key only for wallet transactions, Keychain, Peaklock, and Hivesigner,
  3. The master password and the owner key are only used to reset compromised passwords,
  4. DO NOT lose your password or keys; copy and store offline,
  5. Do not publish other people's work, be it photos or written, without credit, and be sure to source all of your work, even if it is your own.
  6. An introduceyourself tag is used only once , and
  7. DO NOT OPEN any links in memos or comments that you do not know who they belong to. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, so the old saying goes. There is nothing free here.
