STORY WHY I WANT TO STUDY NURSING.

My experience in have shaped me in choosing this career

1. Early passion for child care: At the age of ten, I developed a passion for the care of younger children, which gave me immeasurable satisfaction and enthusiasm to care for babies in my vicinity and at school.
2. Memorable experiences: I cherished memories of visiting a neighbor who was a nursing mother and assisting teachers in kindergarten during break to care for the children, showcasing my overwhelming sense of compassion.
3. Nursing experience: My family once got infected after I brought home a chickenpox-infected baby, demonstrating my commitment to caring for children despite risks.
4. Missionary work in convent: After high school, I proceeded to the convent, where my training further increased my devotion to young children, leading to my becoming a Catholic missionary in 2014.
5. Roles in education: During my missionary service, I worked as a chaplain in a school, collaborating with the nurse in the sickbay to care for sick pupils, addressing both their spiritual and physical healing.
6. Community development involvement: I engaged in community development services, including free medical outreach for the poor, needy, and aged while serving as a missionary.
7. Pandemic response: During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was involved in distributing palliative care and medical outreach, contributing to the health of the community I served.
8. Interest in medicine: My experiences during the pandemic shaped my passionate interest in medicine, prompting me to cherish the idea of serving as a nurse and reach out to the sick.
9. Influence of patient interactions: Volunteering in hospitals allowed me to feel the need of sick individuals who longed to communicate their pains, reinforcing my decision to pursue a career in nursing.
   
   I promise myself to be helper now and in future.
