My first introduction to Hive

Hi guys, This is the first post I write when I knew Hive. I want to thank @dodovietnam so much because he recommended Hive to me. I'm so lucky when I knew this community in a time of social distancing because of the effect of the pandemic, and I think the stories from many people in the world can give me more power and inspiration to learn and work every day at home. Especially, I hope it can help me over the pandemic easily.

Who am I?

I'm Pham Viet Vu, 22 years old and a final-year student from Viet Nam. I was born and grow up in Hue city in central Viet Nam which is one of three regions of the country (the north, the central, the south). That is the thing that makes me proud of my city because Hue is an old feudal capital. Besides, this place is called a navel of Viet Nam located between north and south.

Now I'm living and learning in Da Nang city the city next to my hometown. The major that I study is civil construction and industry at the Da Nang university of technology and science. Because the nature of my major is quite rigid and I don't want to become a person who just knows about construction then I decided to find something to change myself, the things make me more confident in the community and more develop my skills in the future. Besides sharing my stories I think I can learn more things from a lot of people's stories here.

This is a place I intern for the last year. Although see it as quite a dust and hot, I feel it interesting when working in high of a building more than working 9 to 5 in the office every day.

My hometown

Hue city is one of the destinations for travelers when they visit Viet Nam. Different from other places, my hometown is a famous place with a lot of ancient ruins such as tombs, pagoda, and feudal capital, everything here is historic. Besides, the cuisine here is cheap and delicious. There are many mystical stories tell about this land in the feudal.

My hobby

• Trips
  The trips always are interesting in my mind which makes me feel new after the tired time in life. I often have trips to go to some famous destination with friends in my free time. We see the beauty of nature and together capture that moment beautifully.

• Coffee and Music
  The coffee is second-chosen, I like to go to drink coffee where decorated follows classical style. Because when I come there I feel it has so peace and makes me remember a lot of things in my childhood.

Music and the guitar are also my favorite. Sometimes I and my friends sit around to listen to a favorite song at the coffee store. we talk together about music, guitar, and instrument then we play songs on the guitar and sing together. These moments are extremely valuable for me during my time at college.

In addition, there are times to practice or playing the guitar alone makes me more determined and always find interest in a difficult time.

• Study Language
  Learning a language is a part of mine at this moment. I can't believe this is a subject that I don’t interested in and hated at high school before but now it’s a motivation to promote myself develops every day. This is a long journey that is hard for me, I began learning English in two-year ago with zero level and through a lot of boring, disappointment, problems to learn and improve my knowledge. I used to try to listen and read every word to understand for a long time and now I’m feeling better than and I can to listen, talk a little English, and writing this post and I hope Hive gives me more interest in English out of the stress time learning.

The reason I'm attending Hive

I realize this is a place where I can be content with sharing and writing my stories. Besides, the stories and trips are a motivation that makes me find out a new challenge in my journey. The new interesting things from people in any country which make me curious and I want to have more understanding about people, cultural, traditional or their trips.
