RE: Consoling the gamer

You have made me remind of my parents saying "Don't play that much atari, you will ruin your eyes". They were right to protect us from potential negative effect on our health.

Nevertheless, I still play PS4, use laptop for both individual and work and use mobile. All has some inches of screen. I try to care my eyes meanwhile.

I don't agree such interference in private lives by goverments. Such things could be prevented by education or public service ad.

Sort:

I wonder what the percentage change in prescription glasses has been over the last few decades and, how much earlier people are getting glasses now.

Such things could be prevented by education or public service ad.

Isn't this government intervention?

I meant to say self education, and public service ad is not a compulsory, no intervention-no force. E.g. cigarette.

I understand. I just wonder where the line gets drawn for example, in school education. At the moment around the world, most education systems have a lot to be desired in this area, as governments push their own ideas onto everyone equally. In some cases it is beneficial, some not.

I think it is in generally for history and social studies.
