My name is Ubong Anthony Etuk. I'm glad that no one else has the name @ubglo17 on Hive,my friends started calling me ubglo because they said I glow with pride. Ubongabasi is a vernacular name that means “Glory of GOD”. My Grandfather calls me this name often and I do feel happy whenever he calls me Ubongabasi. My

I am a young, smart, brown-skinned African man who is from Nigeria, Akwa Ibom State to be precise. I love the fact that I am a Nigerian and an African. I am very tall and slim but I love every bit of who I am and I love the fact that I am growing every day to become the best version of myself. Most importantly, I am a Christian not just a random one but a Child of God, that's my identity.

I am the forth child of my parents and the second son in a family of seven. Three sons and four daughters. As the forth child, I have grown to realize that I am a pacesetter to my siblings and with this knowledge I learned to be responsible and very careful of the things I do. I love my family. I love spending time with my brother's and sister 's because they are fun and I love every moment I spend with them.

Growing Up

Life is challenging. Just like it it for everyone. Later on, living was more of survival than making progress. But then, I realized that in surviving one must consciously strive to make progress. So despite the hurdles, I stayed my mind on God because I am a believer. I had a conviction that if I was to amount to anything meaningful or somebody respectable, God has to be a big factor. So I banked on that.

Education

I am a graduate of Petroleum engineering (B.eng) from University of Uyo Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. With certification in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE 1,2,3) also with Child Protection and Case Management training.

Hobbies

Reading is my first hobby, then writing. I love poetry, and I have written a couple. I didn't really consider going into writing big time until recently. Thank God for platforms like Ecency, that has made it possible to monetize our skills.
Music is another thing I love to do. I sing and enjoy listening to music, music is my ever-present companion. I listen to music while reading when I take a walk, and even before sleeping. I do not listen to the rhythm alone but every single line and words of the lyrics make sense to me and help me feel better. Joe Mettle and Anthony Brown are my favorite artists. I was taught that listening to music releases a hormone called Dopamine which makes us feel happy and better. Music has extremely good health effects. I am glad to hear about Vibes Web3 music competition on Hive and that is one of the reasons I am here.
I sing in the church choir if you must know, and with all boldness, I beat my chest and confess to the world that I have a golden voice. (I know, I know, don't get jealous). And just so you know, I draw too. Yeah yeah.

Traveling to see new places is another thing I love, however, I am limited due to related expenses. I've traveled to some places though I'm still revolving around Nigeria but with time I'll get to travel to different countries and continents across the globe. One of the things that make traveling fun is that I get to learn new things - culture, technology, languages, concepts, and traditions.

My Vision

I've been through difficult setbacks since childhood. But somehow, I have fought through the thick and the thin. I have seen God's hand in my journey so far. There were some hard times I came out of that I can't explain. They were nothing short of miracles. This has made me take on a mission of inspiring young people and helping them face life's challenges with faith, through my writings and speeches.
Though I presently teach in a secondary school, imparting knowledge and being a go-to person for youngsters seeking academic, moral or spiritual help has been a joy, and I've been greatly rewarded seeing students excelling academically or turning a new leaf from a deviant attitude. However, my passion goes beyond the classroom. I want to reach out to as many people as I meet, even on social media.Because I want to be happy doing so, I invest in myself and any opportunity that comes with financial returns. Financial freedom is a goal that I want to achieve alongside fulfilling my life's mission

I've had great friends who are already here and I hear a lot about this platform. It's better I also tasted of its delicacies. Hive is a new world for me and I know there is much to learn. Please be patient with me as I learn and I'll get better.
I'm told I can socialize, play games, express my creativity and crafts, meet friends, and lots more on this platform. I'm ready for all of that. Earning crypto for doing all of that is something I'm yet to experience but I'm told it's possible here.
