Hello, my name is Tihomir. I come from a mostly rural area in Eastern Europe. When I was younger, I had the opportunity to work in the “big” city but it didn’t feel right for me. I also found out during my time travelling abroad that I enjoyed mostly the smaller towns and villages that also reminded me of home.
I represent this in my photography. I am an amateur with 20 years experience 😅
My photographs are mostly nature sceneries and panoramic views of small mountain villages. Sometimes I get extremely lucky, and am able to get a nice photo of a deer, fox or bird. I use camera Nikon D610 with lenses Nikon 200-500 and Nikon 18-35; compact camera Sony RX100/4, which is always on me, even at work. For my air view shots, I use DJI Mavik Air.
Sometimes I like to experiment with night shots.
I am definitely not into portrait and wedding photgraphy. It is a rare case to have a person in my photographs.
As I explained, photography is my main hobby, but I don't make a living of it. I work as a lokomotive driver for cargo trains. It’s great for me because this has been my dream since I was a little boy. It also alllows me to be always on the move and take some amazing road pictures. Trains are still a passion of mine. My favorite ones are the big North American trains.
When I have a day off, I love to take my photography backpack and head for beautiful places in nature I haven’t been before – mountains, forests and hiking trails.
I am hoping, to find many people with similar interests and inspiration here.
