RE: How Updating Your Old Steemit Content Can Help With Hive's SEO Rankings

in OCD4 years ago

This could work unless and until Steemit loses search engine credibility. Then we'd have all these links to a failing site dragging us down.

Incidentally, I posted a few articles on Hive about my art and posted links from here to my Etsy site. Almost immediately, my Etsy traffic went down. When I saw this was a trend, having a little knowledge of SEO, I deleted the links and my traffic started recovering almost immediately. It's really a shame, because here is where I write about my art and I'd like to link to it, but Hive's credibility at the moment does more harm than good, and I can't afford to lose the traffic.

@stephie.spicer it's really strange that you lost traffic for adding art link to your Hive's article!!!! I believe that there is another issue. Because your article is art related and you added link which is also related to same niche. You may only lose traffic when you add unrelated links. I am interested to more about it, let's see if I can find any solution or not. Feel free to ping me on Discord: pitboy#4591
