A weekend spent with my oil colors

Happy Sunday to you all. I know this time is a difficult time and a lot of us are in lockdown, but I like to have some positive thoughts in my mind and so I spent the week end paintings in my lab (that is part of my home) and enjoying some moments under the sun in my backyard.

Ysterday my mood was a bit down (as you can understand, I had some not lovely thoughts about the future, not just about tha health, but also about the economy in my country) and when I feel myself a bit down, there's nothing better than to paint in freedom in my lab. Pumping the music on the ear buds, yesterday I worked on something new: an artwork I wanted to place on the window so people who will walk on the street to go to work or to buy food, could see something that (I hope) will give them hope.

I decided to work in front of the window in my lab. There was nobody out of there and sure, everything looks so surreal. I always used to cover that window with a white curtain, so I can have enough natural light, but nobody can watch me while I'm working. During these days the streets are desert. It was strange to work on my paintings in front of that desertI decided to work in front of the window in my lab. There was nobody out of there and sure, everything looks so surreal. It was strange to work on my paintings without the curtain.

At the end, when I finished the artwork, I wrote on it the words "Ce la faremo" that in italian means "We will make it" in the meaning that we are all strong and we can fight all this horrible drama.

I hope you like it!

See ya soon and remember: clean your hands, respect the social distancing and stay at home more than you can, all together we can do it!

A great work of art here my friend.
Congratulations!

Thanks so much, Papiloncharity ^_^

My pleasure lady Sylvia!

How lovely idea and how fun it is that I precisely had the thought this afternoon I could display some funny creatures at my window to spread the fun...! 😁
Keep a happy mood my dear ! it's normal to be somehow depressed by the situation, it's a good thing to replenish yourself with art, this is our luck as artist : we may not be rich but we are blissfully doing our art ❤️

I totally agree with you, dear Barbara, "we may not be rich but we are blissfully doing our art ". I have to thanks my art now more than before, because I can use it like a sort of voice and I can give some good vibes to people <3

Seeing people get into the zone with their art is so inspiring. Reminds me of the importance of making a space for myself. Beautiful.
