I'm back in my boarding house starting Friday night. Yesterday afternoon, I'm at my brother's place. I go there to cook sauteed mung beans or we call it locally as ginisang monggo.

Let's start the cooking process! ๐Ÿ˜€

Ingredients:

  • Mung Beans
  • Pork belly meat
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Ginger
  • Green bell pepper (freshly picked at my brother's garden)
  • Moringa (freshly picked at my brother's garden)
  • Malabar Spinach (freshly picked at my brother's garden)
  • Onion leves (freshly picked at my brother's garden)
  • Cooking oil
  • Vinegar
  • Soy sauce
  • Oyster sauce
  • Magic sarap
  • Salt
  • Water

Procedures:

  • Wash the mung beans two times.
  • Wash the pork belly meat and chop.
  • Wash the spices such as garlic, onion, ginger and green bell pepper then slice.
  • Prepare the firewoods for cooking.
  • In a pot, boil the mung beans.

  • While waiting for the mung beans to be cooked, I go to my brother's garden and picked some green vegetables such as malabar spinach, moringa and onion leaves. Pluck moringa leaves then rinse with clean water including the malabar spinach and onion leaves. Then set aside.

  • When the boiled mung beans already cooked, remove from fire and set aside.

  • Heat a pan and add cooking oil. Then, saute onion, garlic, ginger and green bell pepper.

  • Add the pork meat and stir until it produces own oil.

  • Add two tablespoons of vinegar. Add 4 tablespoon of soy sauce. Add magic sarap. Stir and simmer for a minute or two. Then, add oyster sauce and stir.

  • Add the boiled mung beans. Stir well. Add water. (When I put the boiled mung beans and water in the pan, it is overflowing coz the pan is little. So, I transferred it back in the pot.)
  • When I transferred in the pot, I continue cooking. ๐Ÿ˜€ I added a liter or water. Added salt and magic sarap. Stir well and bring it to boil.

  • When it boils, add the moringa and malabar spinach. Simmer for another minute.

  • When it boils again and already cook, remove from fire.
