I don't think I've ever self-voted, not even when strongly encouraged to for the curation rewards, always seemed kinda dumb to me ^_^;
Also I'd really rather drop that vote on someone else but I'm weird like that.

I think maybe the habit of self voting starts innocently enough but then takes over and stopping brings on a fear of loss. Maybe it's got something to do with the feeling of entitlement some have or maybe its just simple greed. It's good that you haven't done it.
