Some macro dragonfly shots and two zooms!

My purpose here is to show you the prowess of a fixed lens camera. I use a Canon Powershot SX60 HD for all of my shots!

First Photo; A "Highland Dropwing" (Trithemis dorsalis) dragonfly!

Of course you will also need a sharp eye, patience and stealth to get these shots. They have now replaced the SX60 with an updated SX70 and the thing can accommodate the new 4 Gig settings. It also has Wi-Fi and many other tricks, but I am married to my SX60.
The slow IT feed to our country due to a damaged cable in the oceans is a severe struggle, especially now in the lockdown period. Post prep and posting can now take up to 4 hours.
Come and have a look below!

Here we have a "Red-vein Dropwing" (Trithemis arteriosa)

And this is a "Broad Scarlet" (Crocothemis erythraea)

Thought I would end the macros with a Hive pet, the Cape Honey Bee!

And now to show you the Ultra Zoom of this camera!

IMG_5793.JPG

That big ball is our white hot African sun!

IMG_5797 2.JPG

And of course lady moon is just as beautiful!

And That's All Folks!

As I said, it's a very slow process to put a quality post together, but I can just not get myself to do a single photo post. Years of posting have created my habit of at times doing long blogs and maybe this new slow process will force me into the habit of creating shorter and easier to read posts.
Of course original content will always remain paramount.

Note; All photos are my own, unedited and only cropped for uploading purposes.
Camera Used; Canon Powershot SX60 HD.

We hope that you have enjoyed the pictures and thank you for visiting @papilloncharity

Thank you kindly my friend.
Take care!

WOW great shots my friend the detail of the red dragonfly and the Bee are amazing

Stay safe and healthy

Thank you JJ, whereabouts do you post lately? Still in GEMS?
Take care my friend.

I mix it up, I use Gems sometime,s sometimes OCD, and sometimes I just forget to post in a community LOL

Hahaha, falling around is what I call it JJ.
I am also falling around a bit, but lately sticking to ocd.
These new things are certainly taking time to settle.
All of the best to you mate!
Blessings to you guys!

Yeah I havent used OCD much, I have to admit I am finding it hard to get motivation to do posts, I think I will slow down ho9w often I post but time will tell

BLessings

Difficult times indeed JJ. also disappointing to see that the posts are not performing and a struggle to find the posts of friends. At least this is what I am struggling with. But I see there's a block where one could possibly insert all of you favorites and I hope that it's an easy search. I will investigate.
Why have your motivation bombed?
Is it because of the wrecking of our old steemit house?
Take heart my friend, things have a way of solving themselves.
Blessings to you guys!

Yeah its hard ot know how things will do on here for sure

and as for my motivation being ina funk, its a mix of things, my wife is very stressed about this virus and I am trying to keep her calm, and not going out for walks based on Doctors advise and knowing my wife would freak if I went out for a walk, so I stay in is part of it

yes this Steem Hive Sun drama is also a factor, I will bounce back I am sure, just the online drama just does not seem such a big deal compared tot he virus at the moment

Dragonflies definitely your specialty photography each has a brilliant vibrant outcome, the bees looks to be a chubby happy little addition Stephen.

Thank you Lady Joan and I was glad to see the condition of that bee.
They are already in trouble and the big fires around here doesn't help their cause.
Take care my friend!

Hive thieves have been causing mayhem here, start fires to smoke the bees out, damage the hives and everything in the area. That sure is one chubby one....

Yeah, I read about it and it is so sad. Some guys have stopped to farm with honey.
People are so greedy and so stupid to partner with syndicates.
Blessings!

Normally ends with greed and stupidity.... Say no more!

Totally agreed!

Howdy again sir papilloncharity! More excellent dragonfly photos, those are always remarkable!
