All my life I have heard stories from people about the lifestyle in the university, even family friends that shared their experiences about the university. And all my life I have been longing to be there, so I tried every means even If I had to read eight hours everyday.
The day I heard I have been admitted to the university was like I have been given “millions of dollars” lol, That same day I hanged out with two of my friends, one of them is called Emmanuel and the other Victor.

My first day in school

My first day in school was actually really fun, I was really excited about the resumption, so when I got to school I made sure I hanged out with my friends that we got admitted into the same school called “The Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta”and we had real fun. We went to a restaurant to eat, we went swimming and we even visited friends that we already knew from home before we got to school. But what actually spoilt the day was when “Emmanuel” a friend of mine drank bear, so we had to carry him home lol

my matriculation ceremony

My matriculation ceremony was done on the 21st of June 2019. All my life I have always dreamt about putting on the matriculation gown and to me that day was a dream come through. I expected my parents and siblings to attend but they never showed up, it was painful but I tried not to think about it. During the ceremony we heard that there was going to be an after party and people were already buying tickets for the after party immediately myself and my friends got ours. After a while we went to meet a photographer and we took pictures

After the matriculation we went home got dressed for the after party I had to wear my favorite cloth because of the ticket I bought was “VIP”

When I and my friends got to the after party we discovered that a famous Nigerian musician was around “Adekunle Gold”and this even increased the crowd. But even with all this the party was not as I expected, a friend of mine called it
a waste of cash and effort,so we left angry that day

My first day of lectures in the university

It was on a Monday morning and we had lectures that morning by 8am. When I got to the class, the lecturer was yet to arrive so we had to wait. After thirty minutes the lecturer entered, immediately she asked all of us in my department to divide ourselves into twelve groups and immediately we responded.
We were actually 120 students in the department so we shared ourselves ten into each groups and she appointed a group leader. While she was appointing group leaders I tried to hide my face lol, because ever since I have been schooling even in high school my teachers have always preferred to make me a leader class so I was thinking it might occur here in the university and to my greatest surprise it did, I was made the Group leader of group three, and we were asked to present on “diphthongs” and we were given a week for preparation

My first practical in the university

My first practical was on a Wednesday, which was done on the farm. We were asked to take records of farm animals on the farm
After then we left for the zoo which was really fun I even met a friend there lol

After the practical I was really tired I got to my hostel and slept for seven hours.
But right now I’m in my third year in school, I have gotten use to the system in school even with practicals and exams and I have even hosted lots of tutorials in school already
