December 26, 2004 all the eyes of the world were on one of the provinces in Indonesia, ACEH, yes, maybe since that incident happened, everyone started hearing about ACEH, and today is even 18 years since this historic event happened
18 years ago, I was still in junior high school at that time, suddenly in the morning a powerful earthquake came over my country, the shaking was even felt throughout the country, luxurious buildings collapsed, trees fell and the wind blew hard , and this is where all these stories begin
BANDA ACEH, is the center of ACEH, after a very devastating earthquake struck, suddenly the sea water which was calm at first looked empty, but a few moments later a large wave more than 30 meters high hit the Banda Aceh area and several other areas, the waves united all that was in front of him with a speed of hundreds of kilometers per hour, the sound of crying was heard everywhere, children, babies, old people, property, all destroyed in the blink of an eye, and as far as the eye could see, only the ruins of the remains of buildings, and corpses countless human beings, lots of my brothers and sisters whose graves I didn't even know until now
Of all the areas, only a few mosques remain that are still standing firmly, and that is a picture of the RAYA BAITURRAHMAN MOSQUE which is a very historical mosque in ACEH, at that time everyone who took refuge in this mosque was safe, but many people were also killed. the trauma hasn't even gone away until recently, even though that was 18 years ago
The world acknowledges that the TSUNAMI that occurred in Aceh was the biggest disaster that has ever happened in human history, and at that time, various kinds of aid from other countries came to Aceh to provide assistance, in the form of food and clothing. I myself was in Banda Aceh, and thankfully survived this disaster, but some of my family members are missing and have not been found until now, I know exactly how it feels to reminisce about the past, that is the most painful thing for all Indonesian people
And this is one of the mass graves for the tsunami victims, they were buried together in a big hole, and it's not just one grave, there are several other mass graves scattered all over the city of Banda Aceh
And today, I again invite everyone, especially the Indonesian people to remember this historical event, let's pray for all our brothers and sisters who have left us all in this biggest disaster, let's remember again the faces of the good people we We don't even know their graves, let's continue to share so that later our children and grandchildren will know that this incident has happened
Currently, the city of Banda Aceh is starting to improve and is even more advanced than before, but the feeling of trauma is still there, especially for the people who were affected by this disaster, I was small at that time, but I know exactly how people felt when the incident happened, and I think that's all I know a little history about this disaster, once again, LET'S PRAY FOR ALL OUR BROTHERS WHO ARE AFFECTED FROM THE TSUNAMI 18 YEARS AGO, AND HOPE THAT EVENTS WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN

I remember the event but as it was not so close to where I live, it affected me differently. It's very sad that this happened.
