Looks like I'm out of Business/Job...

The dawn of reality of the damages done by this viral outbreak dawn on me since April, just last week I got my first direct blow when my application for a program at Memorial University, St.John was denied. Another direct jab came again, a double impact as regarding my private Haulage business, this is sort of depressing because I can't imagine if I had started a family and be handling this sort of things.

I co-run a Haulage and delivery service co-owned by myself and my big brother @peman, its not a news for most Africans when Engineering Graduates are forced to come up with a legitimate and maybe ingenious ways of making earning a living. In fact, its not news for most countries around the world as unemployment is another battle we were fighting long before a full scale deadly Microorganism attack. That made everything much worse, multi-Million Dollars have collapsed and still collapsing, we might be on the verge of a greater depression than the world has ever seen.

Maybe it seems like me making excuses for my disappointment, or perhaps I'm trying to be optimistic and view things from a greater and wider perspective, but I never knew small scale private business would suffer this much too alongside the multinationals in financial distress. The pictures above is of the loading bay of a client's warehouse, that's our loading point. From the image could tell something is awfully wrong, a bay that flows with Trucks of different tonnage, looks like a ghost town and just once truck visible. You must know that that truck has not move an inch for months too, to indicate how messy logistic business must have been during this pandemic.

As a private Hauler, our job is to move essential groceries and materials for clients and wholesalers to point of sales or another factory or warehouse.

A delicate business I must say, even though it does not pay much but its better to have a business that could run for decades at hand. We move expensive liquors too, the picture above is showing a 2.5 tonnes consignment to be delivered at a super mall on the island. Little did we know that was our last full delivery run for this year back in February. Our old Ford truck is capable of hauling heavier goods but we chose to work with consumable goods, as an engineer( myself an Electrical and electronics/communications engineer and my big brother a Mechanical Engineer), maintenance habit is the first thing that makes the life span of any System/machine to run and be efficient for a longer period of time. Hence, we figured it out as we planned our business two years ago, moving heavy goods or parts of machines could bring in more money but could crash our truck pretty fast, the major reason why we stuck with moving consumables and perishable goods. Seems we made a bigger mistake now as most of our clients are out of business with a huge back load of payments to receive from them.

Our old Ford is getting cranky and Rusty where it is parked, the old lady as we call it needed a successor which might not be possible even if a massive Bullrun comes and $Hive sells for $10 per token or more. Reason is, our plan is to get a bigger and brand new diesel engine truck, between 10 to 20 tonnage and that would cost nothing less than $50,000. Not that I'm been pessimistic, but I won't want to cash out all my tiny Tokens for that, except maybe I win a crypto jackpot or something.

Fact is, this year has been messed up for me already and I don't know what else to do. I try to write, put some of the disappointments into writing, even though few people would read it or upvote it. But its the least I could do, not for pitying sake but for sanity. I miss those days of publishing for Trails(Technology-Trail) on Steemit, it helped me get a lot off my mind plus I get paid some amount for doing that.

I'm much open for publishing for any business account now on $Hive, I could make your handle lively and I have track records to prove that. If off chain business is failing me, I will try to put that negative energy into use and make it a positive one, a driving force. If any Whale or Dolphin sees this and wish to engage my services, I'm very much available for a trial!

I really hope things surges back to normal.

We all hoping...
