NAVIGATING THE NEW YEAR

in OCD3 years ago

If you had asked me about 12 days ago, "Ife, what are your expectations or plans for the New Year?"

I had no answer. Like, none!

————

As usual, many came into this year with so much energy, high hopes, great expectations, perfectly drawn year-long plans, financial budgets and even new year resolutions.

Is that wrong? A capital NO!

But for me, the first of the month of January just seemed like another Saturday to me.

Vision 2020 came, there was a lot of jigginess in the world-wide air, because it was the beginning of another decade. I mean, the excitement was so tangible that I could almost grasp it with my hands.

There came the second month of the year, we were given a hard blow on the face by the COVID and it really met us unguarded.
I mean, who would have thought that our precious 2020 was going to have a "but."

Roughly, we more or less cohabited with the virus and to you reading this, "we survived it!"

2021 was so beautiful, with its ups and downs. We survived it too.

Your plans didn't go as planned? You didn't meet up with your monthly targets? You didn't really do so much as you had expected, probably as regards your personal development or issues of life that matters to your heart?

Then, this is for you and for me, who is trying hard to get "vibed up" (up and running) for the year to turn out a success, also not without the help of the Lord.

We are going again this year 2022.

See this as a gift of encouragement!
.
Gather all your strength. Pick up all the pieces of the previous years and make the best of this year.

New year resolutions aren't bad, you can go ahead to scribble something down. It doesn't have to be something complex and gigantic. Little things really matter, such as smiling often, reading books, determining to meet up with every target... The list is endless.
You can make it monthly plan, in lieu of trying to rack your brain around planning for a whole 365 days. That can be stressful and a little bit discouraging.

You might also want to take an inventory of your life, so you can know what next to do.
You tried saving up last year, it didn't work out?
Check it out. Try and figure out what went wrong and how can it be better this year?
As soon as you can answer such questions, you are a long way ahead.

Conclusively, please don't do life without God. Jesus is always our advantage. You want to involve Him all the way, because He makes the difference.

2022 is gonna be great. It is not too late to start the year well. It is also good to start small. Consistent small inputs will in turn accumulate to something huge. Remember the adage of the little drops of water that makes a mighty ocean.

I hope you're being spurred into action by this, cos your latter will be greater than the former.

Happy New Year, my Hive friends.

I'd like to hear about your New Year arrival episode too. Gotten a New Year life hack too? Please, share with me.

You see what I said when I tell you, you are a pro writer 🙌🙌🙌.

I loved the way you briefly described 2020 then to 2021, and planning the 2022.

Also, your header picture is a blast. It's draws attention, most especially with the edit. I don't mind coming to take private classes for it.

Everything is awesome.. I hope for an awesome, greater 2022 in our lives. Stay Safe!

Boss, thank you!

I'm humbled by your words.

As for the private classes, haha... I'm the one that needs to learn a lot.

Yes, we trust for a greater 2022.

Thank you for engaging, Sir.

I love this, especially the part that says we shouldn't do life without Jesus. I had to wait on the Lord for his instructions and directions for the new year. Trust me it helps against getting frustrated doing the wrong thing.

Yayyyyy.

Thank you for sharing too.
