My Travel and Photography Journal on my visit to the Osun Groove Nigeria west Africa

in OCD5 years ago

You know they say that photography is power and word at the same time. I will be using the power of photography to add value to the Hive blockchain. I want to use photography to pass information in this post. Not everyone is lucky to be born in a first world economy and not everyone want to be in a country you are taxed for everything you do financially but my journey to the Osun Groove was a unique one, showing that people lived a free live not dependent on the government but on the fact that every day is meant to be a fun day.

My Name is Oket, and I call myself the minister of photography. The one who can speak, interact and read what a photograph is saying, and photography is my life. My love for photography has made me travel to so many states, cities and countries and in this post, I will be sharing both a travel Journal and to photography Journal/book.

Before the pandemic, I travelled to Osun state in Nigeria, West Africa to visit the sacred Osun Groove. I travelled from Ghana after doing a photography shoot for a friend Pascal. It was a 13 hours journey by road, meeting with fantastic people while on my journey.

We stopped at a Suya and Barbeque spot for lunch and waited for about an hour. I eat a plate of spicy Suya and I enjoyed it. Travelling gives you an exposure to other culture, norms and delicacies. Here are a few photographs of the moment.

The journeyed continued and I reached Osun at about 8:00 PM. Seeing a group of women cooking outside was fascinating. They were cooking Jollof Rice. I had a taste of it and retired to my lodge.

The next day, I was up early to the groove to see the beauty of art and the splendor of culture, it was breath taking. I had the opportunity to meet with other photographers from Brazil and Germany.

You have posted the same post consecutively. Possibly a mistake as I'm sure you know that intentionally doing so would not be seen as very fair, and quite misleading to the community. It is a good post, but not worthy of being posted twice.

I'm very sorry, it was a mistake,I want to delete one out of it but I didn't know how to do it. Please accept my apology.

That's ok, at least you acknowledged it. No stress.
