First Post on HIVE - My Introduction - Glad I found HIVE sooner than later

Hello,

I'm Kavindu from Sri Lanka. My name has a Sanskrit meaning and used to describe a Poet who sings about the moon. I'm 24 years old and currently studying in the university of Peradeniya.

I was introduced to the blockchain blogging by a friend of mine and until today I was actively contributing to another platform (you know what it is!). While using it I came across many people who praised HIVE for the value it's giving to the active contributors. Specially this post by @anthony2019 helped me a lot with my decision and from today onwards, I'll be concentrating my energy on HIVE and HIVE only and decided to quit the other platform.

Travelling gives you the opportunity to meet new people, experience new cultures and become closer to the nature.

My family owns a small Dragon Fruit farm and I enjoy helping my parents with it's maintenance. Dragon Fruit is seasonal and can be harvested once a year and the fruit has a magical flavour, full of antioxidants and it's colour is irresistible to the eyes.

Most people have tasted the commonly found white variant of dragon fruit which is a little bit sour however the red variant which I'm holding the below image has a very sweet taste, however need extra effort during farming including manual pollination of the flowers. Therefore farmers prefer the white variant which will bear fruits without much intervention and it's become the popular among the two.

In addition to all above mentioned hobbies, I'm working as a part time freelancer and specialize in digital marketing and SEO. This helps me to become independent financially while going through the university education and until I find a permanent job.

I'm really glad I found HIVE sooner than later and hope to find new friends who share common interests as myself and to contribute actively to the community by investing in HIVE. Finally I'd like to thank @anthony2019 for referring me to HIVE.
