It was a of a journey, watching an annoying fast-paced brat fulfill his dreams and become the leader of his village (Hokage).
You're asking for a review, so I'm being honest. Lemme first starts with some mistakes made in the making of the anime.
The use of characters other than the main or villain in the Naruto Universe was very poor in Shippuden. Beside Team Asuma (mainly Shikamaru), not many other characters had such deep character development. Rock Lee, Tenton, Neji, Shino, Hinata, Kiba, were not used effectively. Especially in the case of Shino, Kiba and Choji. He didn't have much impact on the series. If you look at One Piece for example, each of the characters, even if they are weak or seem insignificant, serve an important purpose. If each character didn't give it their all and fulfill some sort of role, Straw Hats wouldn't make it.
Tsunade really did nothing. Look at the 4 Hokage, and the villagers can tell you stories of their legendary battles, and they deserve the title of Hokage. There was not a single battle in which the Hokage came and fought bravely.
Another example is Gaara, after his arc, he didn't really do anything, he just wasted. Another example is Byakugan; It was created in Leaf Village to be so powerful and Hyuga as a powerful clan, but was not used effectively in the series. The Sharingan became the go-to Opi Eye Jutsu technique thing. Sorry, something is not in touch with Naruto Lingo.
Most Tailed Beasts and Jinchuriki were only shown briefly and lacked an arc or character development. Same with Seven Ninja Swordsman. Just for the appearance there, really.
Plot holes are left, right and center. Given that it was difficult for Kishimoto to plan the entire series from the beginning and set it up effectively, I discount him. But if you look back, there are some plot holes and inconsistencies here.
Where was Kakashi's Mangeki Sharingan in the first part of Naruto? Kakashi said that using his Sharingan and Kamui put pressure on his body, but he was using his Sharingan against the swordsman, Obito, Madara and Kaguya. How was Madara able to use his Susanoo when he was brought back to life with Rinne reincarnated and had no eyes? Why didn't Danzo use Izanagi with the Sharingan in his right eye instead of destroying his eye and dying?
That was a lot. But really, with all the discrepancies displayed in the show, this will still be my number #1 anime until I die. The characters were funny, most were badass (Itachi!!!). It was an anime that made me think some things I'd take to my grave, things I'd use to make my life better. I am deeply indebted to Naruto. As I mentioned earlier, it was a journey. One I will never regret. Look all….!!!!
I like Naruto 🐝
