Wether is between two love beds, amongst siblings with friends and colleagues at the office or married couples etc.
Communication is very important as it makes us understand each other better and know what the other person is trying to pass across.
It’s so important that it helps in avoiding and resolving conflicts.
Understanding those around you mostly comes from talking with them and getting to know who they are, what they can and cannot do.
For instance, I had a situation with my boyfriend some time ago, he called and I missed his call. 15minutes later, I called back but he declined the call. I was stunned, he had never done anything like that before and to make Matters worse. He didn’t even send a text to tell me what was going on.
Trust the woman instincts in me, 101 things were coming to my head that he could be doing something wrong or that I did something wrong to him etc.
I didn’t text him that night and he didn’t call or text to say goodnight as usual.
I made up my mind, I wasn’t going to talk to him the next day and just went about my day. He didn’t also talk to me as usual.
I was really concerned because it was so unlike him.
And so, I sent him a text via WhatsApp, explaining to him I didn’t understand him yesterday and all.
He immediately called and apologized.
Apparently he was on a transaction on his phone and the server was bad so to prevent interruptions he declined calls coming in and by the time he finished it was so late he didn’t want to wake me with a call.
To cut the long story short, I didn’t think about it like that because there was no communication and I was going about it angrily without finding out what was wrong.
Sometimes it’s important to put ourselves in the shoes of others and try to understand them by talking to them, being open minded and just communicate.
Instead of being judgmental and assuming the worse when it was all a misunderstanding because of lack of communication.
Well said. Do more of communication and less of assumption
Absolutely…Thank you Sammy 🙏
