Walking under warm Sun at the Bank of River Trent

in OCD5 years ago

As I could not able to walk on the opposite direction on the previous day posted as A Beautiful Day at the Bank of the River Trent so, I decided to walk from the opposite way from The Meadows to the Wilford Toll Bridge through the Victoria Embankment.

I have started walking sooner then previous day as I don't want to see the sunset before finishing my walking to the end of my destination. Actually it is not very far to reach the Wilford Toll Bridge from The Meadows. The interesting thing is you would find people doing exercise or biking or taking rest in the river bank most of the day time and if there is noboday still you will not be bored as the landscape and the natural views are awesome here.

Not bad, It might be even better along green leaves!

Today the Meadows recreation centre got more people around as the summer light started to provide warm environment. Many people started to come out for walking, running and biking. I have decided to leave the road and started to walk by the river. The river water looks clean as usual and the sunlight making the water reflection which looks amazing.

Many people across the river gathered in the field for some kind of fair, kids are playing football while adults are arranging to provide the home made food and many people brought things to sell. People around came to enjoy the sunlight and reading books as well.

Soon I have reached to the toll bridge and this bridge only accessible to the pedestrian, cycle and tram which was opened in 1870 the one side of the bridge is the Meadows and another side is Wilford. Locally people called this bridge as "Halfpenny Bridge". I saw the history and there was a ferry service here for 400 years until the bridge established here by Sir Robert Juckes-Clifton! So, I have decided to go go to the middle of the bridge and enjoy the river views from the middle of the river. I took the right decision as the view just perfect and will remember the view for a while. This is not a small river actually, while I was by seating on the bank of one side -the other looks so close but actually it was not that narrow it looks like.

From the bridge there is a beautiful view of the Statue of Sir Robert Juckes-Clifton. I have just passed the statue while I was walking from the Meadows.

The interesting thing is the Sun! I do not know how but the Sun is really bigger here! It might be due to clean air but it is huge!

Here I stopped my walking today! I found history on each street of the UK during walking and it is amazing actually. Every street, every building refers to something and each statue refers to the history, the people of the country. Really good to know and by watching these you become interested about who were these people and what is the history of them!
