Introduction of myself to the Hive Family: Meet Olomide

Hello to the world of Hivers, I am so thrilled to be here today all thanks to my friend @dancinglockers who gladly introduced me to a world of writers with difference. Olomide Rotimi Daniel is my name but you can call me Olo or Rodan as my friend. It is my greatest pleasure to be here and also to meet you all.

Passionate reader of epic fantasy, thriller books as well as war histories is who I am. I found my love for reading when I was in my first year in junior secondary school. Reading gives me the opportunity to travel round the world, be who I want to be, see what I what to see and feel what others around me cannot feel on the same spot. I also love slow rhythm music as it soothes my mind and soul.

I was born and brought up in Zaria town, a local government area in Kaduna state, Nigeria into a family of 5 as the second born and male child of the family. My dream while growing up was to become a professional farmer and currently done with my first degree in crop science, now in the process of applying for my second degree as a crop geneticists and breeder. In light with the United Nations (UN) goals of making the world habitable and a better place, I currently volunteer with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) working in line with the 17 goals(www.sdgsgoals.com) set out if we are to make the world a better place by the year 2030 and this is done through teaching and organizing outreaches to schools.

I am currently into sales, fabrication of Aluminum profiles where I produce cutting walls, windows, doors and impacting of the knowledge onto younger ones as a side business to fast track my entrepreneurship spirit.

How I was introduced to Hive platform
I wasn’t good at writing prior to this time until a friend @dancinglockers suggested writing to me after giving her my views on the current crisis between Ukraine and Russia, connecting dots together by explaining the Napoléon Bonaparte war, world war I and II followed by the cold wars fought between two powerful countries far apart from each other with interest in the affairs of another country connecting the situation to that of Ukraine and Russian current crisis, all this prompted her to invite me to join the hive family.

My interest and what I hope to achieve:
I’ll like to meet like minds with hope that we could use history to resolve current and future conflicts, get better in writing, gather experience, as the saying goes “Experience is the best teacher” and hope to make the world a better place starting with me.
