Hey everyone,
I hope everyone is healthy and well.
So, I wanted to share this story with you, as a reminder that price does not guarantee quality. And that is especially true for this insane Labubu Craze.

I mean honestly, Labubus have become a sort of currency among the tech parents out there, especially in Asian countries...
My brother is in tech and a parent and spends half his time in Singapore and Hong Kong, so he thought that a Labubu would make a great gift for my nameday.
He stood in line for hours in Singapore's Pop Mart shop, only to find out that the series with the secret labubu were sold out. So he got online, found a Greek shop that was selling original Pop Mart merchandise and paid 48 euros to get me a Big Into Energy Labubu and mail it to me.
It's not something I would normally want, but it's cute that my brother went to such lengths for me to have it.
It arrived beautifully packed and I was so excited to unbox it…

I took it out, saw his ugly face and we somehow bonded.
I may not have asked for a Labubu, but I sort of liked him.
At that moment I understood something very deep, very spiritual, very existential,
👉 IF I liked him, there should be something wrong with him.
So I took some time to pay attention to details, scanned barcodes and... uploaded photos to Chatgpt...
Sadly... It wasn’t a Labubu.
👉 It was a Labobo. Yeah that's what I call my 50 euro fake 😂😂😂
It looked really legit, but the devil hides in the details:
The “defective” green line across its face
** the missing character card**
the shady box printing…

We laughed so much about it that I ended up making my very first TikTok video just to make sure no one else gets scammed.
Here it is (SORRY FOR THE GREEK):
But honestly? I sort of love him more now. MY LITTLE MONSTER
