What's the first image that comes to your head when you hear the name of Iran?!
Persian traders history. In school I learned several theories about how Islam came to Indonesia and some theories mentioned these traders. Majority of Indonesian students learn about this but they probably know more about Persia than Iran.
Well basically Persia is the old name of Iran. :)

Yeah because they contribute in shaping Indonesian's belief system which lasted until today. They did well with the trading and spreading the belief system.
