Well done @olasamuel for a great post. I was slightly disheartened a few days ago when I joined Hive by the lack of quality posts I was coming across, especially in the categories of tech and productivity, which I am especially interested in.
But having found my feet a little and learning to use the search function better, I am starting to come across some great content.
I recently left Medium.com, where the quality and layout of articles is amazing. I think that is going to be one of the key things that Hive will need to match in order to be successful.
All the items you raise are indeed important benefits and unique characteristics of Hive, but unless it looks good and is easy to use, then a lot of writers will look elsewhere.
I have been really impressed by the @peakd interface into the Blockchain. It gives a lot of the benefits of Medium and other high ending blogging platforms. All the developers working on it have done and amazing job and I am excited to see what ways the innovate once the post-fork madness settles down for them.
Since joining Hive, I have set up a couple of communities called Tech Flow and Productive Thoughts. I am hoping to use them to help drive the quality of posting upwards and make it attractive for non-blockchain enthusiasts.
There are certainly a lot of challenges to resolve before Hive becomes mainstream, but there is a huge hunger out there at the minute for free, democratic platforms that don't shut down people that they disagree with.
If Hive can catch the wave over the next couple of years it has got a chance to become the first big blockchain based social media platform.
