The Understimated Power of Asking Questions

in OCD4 years ago (edited)

First of all, let's start talking about a fundamental principle in which I believe, I am very sure that although we are individuals, we are part of a whole, and we are constantly emitting and receiving input from the outside world, energy is always in constant exchange, and this is something that is true no matter how you look at it.

Everything is energy and in a certain way, information, everything flows, everything is transformed when it moves and movement is inevitable.

this picture has nothing to do with the post, I took it on the street and it has no special meaning for me, it's just for the post to have a picture... seriously, I find the pictures on the free stock image sites super silly, sorry

The System Trap

It's very likely that the majority of us, given our conventional education, we ignore this fact, since neither in school nor in college we were taught this, the system only teaches you to do what is good for the gear of the great machine, and to be part of a gear it's not necessary that you understand, it's not necessary that you ask yourself why, it is only necessary to connect you to a power source like any other device and press the power button.

It's also very likely that some of you who read me, have had the opportunity, or better said, the gift, of having teachers or figures involved in your education who in one way or another took great care in TEACHING YOU TO REALLY THINK AND TO ASK YOURSELF QUESTIONS, but most of the time, this is not the case, you are not taught to think and understand the world to try to write your own story, instead, the sistem sell you a book, make you read it, memorize it and then make you believe that you don't have a story, that you have to follow the rules of that book.

Your viable option is to resign yourself and accept this story, but there is another option that you are not shown, it's there, but most people don't take it, because the system itself is set up in a way in that, first of all, this choice is hidden in plain sight, and by choosing this option (if you have the opportunity to even consider it), many things in your life will turn their back on you, and you will have a hard time for a while, and it is a "dark night of the soul" that we all have to live through if we want to take the lead in our lives.

A Glitch in the MATRIX

The curious thing about "this option" I'm talking about is that it is presented in the form of the well-known easter eggs that some video games contain, placing us in the position of questioning our lives is often the result of what I like to call an "X factor", usually an event or circumstance that occurs in our lives that has no relation to everything you lived before, and neither seems to have it with everything you thought was your future.

For each of us it is a different story, in my case, it was the contact from a very early age with the internet, specifically, conspiracy theories and consulting many sources of information with a strong influence of libertarianism and anarchism, also my encounter at an early age with consensual and loving sexual experience with a partner for several years and the closeness with the "current of thought" that propelled at some point the hippie trend in the 60's and that is still in existence with respect to psychedelics but very well documented scientifically, way more better than before.

To be honest with you, what is a 16 year old kid doing fucking so much, reading so much shit on 4chan, consulting the deepweb and having Terence Mckenna as his role model?

The dream of any teenager at that age was anything "normal", my dream was nothing like "normal", I wanted to meet the natives, consume their plants, get lost in the mountains and just wander off to see what I could find about myself and the world, I just wanted to know WHY THE FUCK I'M HERE, I was always an adventurer, but that adventurous soul was not discovered by me until I was able to not only recognize that option hidden in plain sight, that error in the matrix, I also had to let my body and soul into that fissure.

this is me saying "oh yeah, look at that fissure in the matrix, let's go in there, ohhh yeah fuck yeah, it'll be awesome if we do... hmmmm".

The hidden option is "ALWAYS ASK QUESTIONS"

I'm not fucking with you, it's something so basic... it's not about gaining a lot of knowledge, it's not a fucking competition about being smart, in fact, it's much more primitive and simple than that.

Just give yourself a little time to think every day, about thirty minutes, or twenty, or five, to think about the following: why? what for? in relation to everything that is your life right now.

A wise man once said, when one door closes, another one opens, but no one told you that asking yourself a question is similar to breaking the window and entering the house of which you thought the door was closed, or in fact, was there even a fucking door? hmmmm, or, did you really even want to go in there? fuck...

I mean, in reality, many of us have found ourselves in shitty situations, simply for not asking enough questions, how many times has it happened to you, that you end up in an uncomfortable situation simply for not asking what was behind what you thought was the "right decision"?

I have a friend who nearly had sex with a trans guy simply because he didn't ask in time and follow his damn intuition, mind you, I'm not against trans guys, but it took my friend a long time to get over it, haha.

But... who the fuck wants someone who asks so many questions? Seriously... no one wants to be with a fucking crazy person who asks so many questions about everything... no, no, no, don't get me wrong, I'm not telling you to harass people on the street, your friends and your partner with uncomfortable questions....

I'm just asking you to ASK YOURSELF THE QUESTIONS, SEE WHAT HAPPENS, AND TRY TO ACT ON IT, you will be surprised that many times, you have the solution, but first you must believe that you are able to sit down, quietly, take a paper, write down those uncomfortable questions and try to find the answers yourself.

The power of questions is not about finding the right answer, because the right answer or the right question does not exist, the right decision does not exist, but the very fact of being able to ask yourself questions and find the answer yourself, is a call to our deepest nature, is to connect with our free will, is to be able to assume the consequences of our actions, to assume 100% of the responsibilities, because if you ask yourself the questions, and the answers to those questions lead you to a certain result, guess what, there will be no one to blame for the result but yourself.

So, please, if you find yourself where I found myself a couple of years ago... just take it easy, sit down and ask yourself the necessary questions... you have the solution, you can get it.

It is not necessary to end up hurting yourself or other people to discover who you really are, ask yourself the uncomfortable questions and dare to move away a little bit from the people, from the situations that may make you uncomfortable, unhappy, bitter or resentfull, in any case, if it was the right place, you can always come back... and if it was not, yours are the steps and yours is the path, you have to move forward, but in any case, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain, your life is the prize.

Yes, I also believe that questioning everything and asking yourself questions is a way to have the will to follow your own path, no one else tells you what to do, or what to believe, or what to think, but you take full responsibility for your life. Although I also believe that it is good to ask other people about things, and to be silent and listen, because that is also a way to learn, because many times talking to other people is like talking to yourself, and vice versa. Finally, I believe that whoever asks receives, and whoever asks with a willingness to know, will know the answer.

That is a very good publication. Cheers!
