Being 18 years young at the time and driving a hotted up Morris mini just to set the scene. I was driving through the roundabout some 1.5 kilometres from home with lot's of traffic about with dual lanes. I had noticed a cop on a motorcycle waiting his turn to get out into that roundabout as I went past him. He looked at me and I thought this could be a problem 🤣. Keeping an eye on the rear view mirror I noticed he came out of the roundabout the 3rd vehicle behind me then he was in the lane next to me and moved in behind me😲. And you guessed it the party light's came on so I indicated to turn left at the next street also being the street I lived on ( This being a dead end dirt road with 4 properties on it). I thought do I just drive in or pull up outside? Pulled up some 10 metres from driveway and wait for Mr plod to come over.
First thing he said in a very stern voice what the hell did you come down here for were you trying to run from me🙄. I said no just going home and now you are wasting my time, were do you live he said nastily I responded just 10 meters over there. He said sure you do getting madder by the minute 🤣 yes that's true I said, SHOW ME YOU'RE LICENCE bla bla bla. Gave him said item he looks at it then looks at the house I pointed to and goes well at least you are actually being honest. I said why did you assume I was lying and no response to that😜. He then decide to spend a long time checking my car for fault's in the end he fined me one point and $30 for engine smoke😡. I knew he was not going to leave without some ticket writing as he must have had to fill his quota for the day and a trumped up fine it was to☹️. Furtunatly that's the only fine I have had and not a driving related one either 👍

Sometimes I think cops just don't think too straight...Too worried filling quotas as you say.
Still, $30 bucks isn't too bad considering he could have defected you for probably a heap of (trumped up) things. I guess in those situations it can be easy to make snide remarks, especially as a young kid, although that'll never usually go down too well with Mr. Plod. Did you read @mattclark's comment here? He must have got the most assholiest cop in Adelaide!

Yep young and cocky lol though I still give them a hard time if they start out in an aggressive manner of if they violate traffic law's or one time trying to falsely accuse me of something I did not do. I stood my ground with two cops on that one as I knew they had no grounds for it and they let me go👍. Yes I just had a read of Matts reply.

Some cops are good, I think I got one of those, and they tend to reflect the attitude they are given by the person they've pulled over too. I was really hoping that cop last night was one of my mates dicking around...Wasn't to be. I got very lucky though.
Fortunately you got a decent one I have had some decent cops and I tell them they are doing a great job and I appreciate the way they conducted themselves. And on the other hand I let them know when they are being let's call it idiots. On another funny note I have driven a marked cop car on the road he'll good fun the reaction you get on some people's faces when the see the car🤣👍. We had the car in at work for repairs I might have had to do a test drive👍
