Hi Hivers! I'm Rodalyn Gamuza, you can call me Roda, currently living in Cebu originally from Samar, by the way, my name was mixed with my parents' name 😅 because my father's name is Roger and my mother's name is Loida, that's why I'm RODA 😅

WHY @island.girl?

Simply because I grew up on the most beautiful island of Samar called "Kindot"😊

I grew up near the sea, so I used to do fishing with my father and I used do household chores, growing up I know that I have a responsibility because I'm an eldest I have four siblings, I imprinted in my mind that I had to prove something so that I can help my parents.

I can also say that I'm an independent person because in my High School days I lived in my relative's house. After all, our school in High School is so far away, so we still had to cross the sea for 30 mins. so what I did was I stayed at my relative's house for a week and then every Friday afternoon I went home, I didn't experience living in a boarding house even when I was a college, in my college days I also lived with my grandmother's house because she supported financially my studies and to pay back I need to do household chores. (Sorry for the long story about my experiences in life haha)

I graduated last 2020 with a Bachelor of Elementary Education course, now I'm still waiting for the LET examination, due to the pandemic I had a lot of plans that didn't go through, like being able to take the board exam right away after graduation because the board exam was postponed several times. For now, I'm looking for a job while waiting for the LET Examination but I had my final interview and I hope I can pass.

The thing I love when I was alone is watching series specially K-drama because every time I watched k-drama I feel light and it relieves stress.

I also love traveling and going to the beach, because the beach is part of my dramatic childhood life 😅. Expect in my blogs regarding travels and exploration.
