ENERGY REFILL CONTEST ROUND 20: Look at the present you’re building, it should resemble the future you’re dreaming of..MY VIEW

Greetings everyone and Happy weekend. I hope we are all doing well. Thank you @tripode for this session of energy refil contest also a big thanks to @enginewitty, @wesphilbin and SMILE initiative @smi-le. for making this contest possible . The topic chosen kept me thinking for weeks, finally I was able to put up something. 'Look at the present you’re building, it should resemble the future you’re dreaming of'.

Everyone dreams or envisions a beautiful future, regardless of how the past has been and present is. First of all, you must have a clear picture of your desired future, understand the fundamentals of building it and the concept of decision making.

A combination of these will determine exactly how your future will turn out.

Conscious effort and deliberate investment in the present will determine the trajectory of your future. By this, I am referring to consciously taking steps in the right direction, pulling the right strings, investing in the right opportunities and fields. For instance, if I decide to build a career in Information and Technology, it requires constant practice, taking courses in the field, applying for internships and simultaneously building a portfolio that will position me strategically for job opportunities right after. Likewise, dreaming of owning a bakery in the future. Without deliberate investment in perfecting the craft and learning business economics and management, it would be just a mere dream.

Dreaming of a future is easy,working towards achieving it isn’t. Therefore, it is the individuals’ sole responsibility to chase the future they desire.

Building in the present is what most people do not realise as an integral part of the future. The future is therefore a construction of the present. Imagine building a house, there are a series of processes involved and you cannot skip one step and expect the desired result. You cannot also make use of substandard materials for the building process therefore your decision making process and investment should be such that it will yield the required result.

In summary, building the desired future entails a lot more than dreams. There might be regrets along the line but do not hesitate to make necessary corrections and adjustments. Also, you might not get the required assistance from those around you but it is in your place to understand the future and work tirelessly towards achieving it.
