Of course the technical basis will change. Isn't that the cost of progress? Note that progress isn't something that is percieved as positive.

So long as it still does fundamentally the same thing - who cares what it is called or how it works?

Make the chain invisible, give people the ability to engage and create, and be rewarded. At the same time, attract accountable users who understand that their actions have the potential to resonate forever.

The time, money and resources invested have already paid dividends if people have invested for the right reason. As a creator, I've got plenty of endorphins from the creation of my content.

Further to that, there's a few friendships that have formed thanks to Steem, and existing ones that are now stronger.
