I want to buy a wheelchair so I could use it in my future works but was delaying it due to the fact that I know it will be quite pricey. A colleague suggested I shall look in surplus shops and see if I could find one at an affordable price. Yesterday, I went to different shops to look for a wheelchair.
I went to an American surplus first. They didn't have wheelchairs but they got medical beds, crutches, and others.
These crutches are interesting. I know deep in my heart I shall buy some soon and use it for my works lol.
There are various things being sold here lol. Some are even out-of-place.
Cute little wheels. :D
They got some cabinets at a low price too.
Then I found this thing. I don't know what this is but it looks interesting. It looks like Himalayan Rock Salt or some shit.
For the alcoholics lol.
They got some shoes/sandals too.
Of course there are these weird-ass dolls.
They look haunted lmao.
They got some DVDs and naked dollz. Suspicious.
If you got twins then you need this. Heh.
I went to other surplus shop to check if they got some wheelchairz. This time, in a Japan surplus.
And this is the first thing I've noticed LOL. Weiiiird.
And these Japanese dolls. I didn't check the price but they look like the expensive ones. I wonder if they're cursed LOL.
They got paintings :o. I for sure don't know the artists but I wouldn't be surprised if one of them is actually worth a thousand dollars.
Japanese have cute dolls. They are always detailed and made with expertise or something. Their other dolls are well-made too iykwim. :D
They got this weird-ass hallway. It's dark all over the place and this one is the darkest I believe. Still better than the American surplus cos they don't have nasty smell lol.
Lastly I went to an Australian surplus. I asked if they have wheelchairs and surprisingly, they said they usually have but now they are out of stock. Next stock will be on March 30. I just left my number there so I could be updated if they got new ones.
I also asked them for their price range and it seems like I would prefer much to buy a brand new one which is almost like the price they offer. I only need a basic one anyway and I will need it ASAP xD
Still, going to a surplus is interesting and I will for sure come back if I want to buy some random things.
Damn! you can definitely score some great stuff in these ukay ukay stores.
What did you get for yourself though? :) <3
Yeah lol. I didn't buy anything since I didn't need/want anything and also since I was carrying 10lb dumbbells that I bought at the mall xD
Aww dang! She wants to work on that body! :D <3
goodluck and work it hard bes. ;)

I love these types of places, One man's rubbish is another man's treasure. I'm very curious now to know why you want a wheelchair.
Yaah, I haven't realized shops like these exist until someone suggested lol. I will use it for an artwork. :D

That "rock" i think is a broken salt lamp. We have also at home. If there was a hole inside than 100% 😁
yaah there was! It was broken in half, but yeah it probably was a salt lamp. Are those real salt or something tho? They are heavy :O I never had one before
He he non idea. This is ours on the pic. But as i read about it it is really healthy.
The lamp makes hot inside and the solt is evaporate to the air.
Good for those who have problems with lungs.
Even i just heard about the therapy for smokers that they cleaning they lungs in a salt room.
That's so cute! Yeah I heard about it too but haven't researched about the benefits of those. For sure that's expensive? :O
Just checked it on aliexpress 😁

Are you familiar with FODAC?
https://www.fodac.org
They have a large selection of medical equipment for people with disabilities.
No.. I won't be able to get in contact with them though since I won't need the wheelchair cos nobody is disabled here, I only need it for an artwork, it's just for personal interest. At the same time it's in the USA, I live far far away from there. Thank you for suggesting though :D Sounds like a nice org

We have tons of surplus in Metro Manila. Most are Japanese/Koreas surplus. You can find awesome items there. I bought two chairs from there. Excellent quality, looks new and comes with a great price.
I heard too! And here in our area I've noticed there are new surplus shops that recently opened lol. Great deal indeed! :D
Congratulations @hiddenblade!
Your post was mentioned in the Steem Hit Parade in the following category:
I wish we have that kind of store here :D we do but not massive as that one !
Thanks for making me realize how lucky I am here! Haha. Our country loves surplus so much... xD Hopefully you'll have bigger ones.
You're definitely lucky !! and I wonder, did you by chance ask how much the cabinet cost?
I love shops like these. It can be tiring to go through all the products but sometimes you can find real treasures just by going through the shelves. You know what they say,
one man's trash is another man's treasure. Besides, it's the best thing to do (running these shops), this way we can stop waste.
Too bad we don't have it here.
