Happy new week to all, I pray for peace and prosperity to all hivers in the new week. I would like to share an incident that occurred to my family which I would never pray to occur to even my enemies.
The image seen below is a burial ceremony of a late family business friend who passed away in his sleep during the time of visiting my family home in Ghana.
He was a kind man and I knew him since when I was a kid, he will come to our home, buy all the kids some sweet candies and that was what I knew him for when I was young, other aspect was that he was a partner with my dad in same business line.
Story
During the period of November, 2021 there was this incident that transpired between a family friend and ours. A family friend who usually comes for visit to my family came in 2021. And when he comes, he spends few days in my family home before going back.
This year 2022, wasn’t funny even though there are some occurrences behind the scenes, I just overlooked because I live far away from home but it wasn’t funny at all because of multiple calls and threat I received from different people.
The man came to spend some holiday so he could also discuss some way forward about business initiative with my dad. Unfortunately for him, we never knew that was his last moment on earth.
And why should it happen in my family home?
After every activity for the day, going to his bedroom to sleep because due to his standards we decided to convert our visitors room as his personal room anytime he comes to visit us then switch we no longer allow visitors to stay over the night since some people uses the avenue to carry out evil act.
My dad built a 10 bedroom for each of his children with his wife and it could be easy for people to come visit us especially after church service but we noticed that compelling them to stay over the night was burdensome.
At the time you were supposed to sleep enjoying the morning sleep, you will be thinking of how to care for a visitor, so since then we stopped compelling our visitors to pass the night anytime they come for visit.
But the case of this man wasn’t same because he was a usual friend and a family business partner. Actually after the day, everyone went into his room not knowing he was going to die in his sleep.
What occurred
Of course you should know what will be the outcome if your family relatives are aware you went for a visit to a popular friend’s home and died there. All that will be mentioned was that you, the person been visited is solely responsible for the death of such person. This was how they labeled my family names no matter how cordial the relationship had been.
But honestly no one could do such thing in my home; he is always welcomed anytime he visits our home till the day he goes back.
Since then, it has been court cases upon court cases, my family was allowed to carry out diagnosis on him to find out the case but to all our efforts proved nothing happened to the man. Not even food poisoning or so.
The family took the case to court and since then the issue that happened since November 2021 was still on going in court till November, 2022 when the court resolved the issue my family was found not guilty to the case and because of that I stay in Tanzania due to my academics but had to obtain permission from my boss to travel down home because my dad informed us everyone will be present in the burial since he was a good family friend, only life caught up with him suddenly.
Dear Hivers, I cannot write all that happened but I have been able to learn some lessons of life. I am grateful for friend who stood by me who supported me and he has been laid to rest.
I learnt the following
- Do not be persuasive of letting people who comes to visit you stay at your home probably to pass the night.
Anything that occurs to such individual, you will be responsible.
I have been hearing of a case where a lady goes to visit a guy and that was the end of her life.
I got to know this when we went to court, people with similar cases where there too but honestly we were innocent.
Have a family lawyer and a doctor.
Be prayerful to the creator for everything.

I'm not sure I understand the case. I mean why were your family sued when the coroner could not find anything suspicious. The prosecution can't go to court without hard evidence.
Anyway, I'm sorry to hear about what your family had to go through. It's sad but at least it's over.

Though it's a long story and I may not be revealing why the urgent court case but it was as a result of influence in the man relatives who I believe some weren't in good terms with us. So we left the individual to proceed with court case and didn't know the individual had already arrange her lawyers it was when the case was still been processed we opt out for a test sponsored by my family. Then everything was clear. But if you are in such case you don't have to just take everything lawfully because you have to ensure they don't get hurt. Like it wouldn't just be right at the decision to immediately go for a health check whilst non of the family members of his supports it. We just had to play along not until we discovered they were malicious.

All you said a very much true to have learnt. It is good to be careful who you let in, but in the way of being a good person , people often take it for granted.
Medically, There are several causes of sudden death especially from sleep, him having a previous check up may have help detect it if any. Sorry you family had to go through all that, I hope ties have not been broken too.
