Pucok Krueng – Is one of the names of tourist attractions in Aceh which is located in Lhoknga, Aceh Besar. Today I traveled to this place, the distance taken to this place took approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, from the provincial capital of Aceh, namely Banda Aceh. The path taken to enter here is very easy when it is not in the rainy season, but if it is in the rainy season, then the route to this place is very difficult, because it is muddy, the road to get to this place is still filled with clay and rocks. Today I and my friends were lucky not to find the entrance here in a muddy condition, so it was a very easy walk to reach the Pucok Krueng tourist spot.

The name Pucok Krueng, comes from the Acehnese language, namely "Pucok" meaning "Peak", and "Krueng" meaning "River", combined into "River Peak". The people of Aceh have a culture of naming every place name in their area since the first with a simple and uncomplicated name, just by looking at what is unique and special about the place. Like, “Pucok Krueng”. Which has the privilege of beautiful scenery when viewed from the top of this river. The view from up here is very beautiful, we can see the reflection of the river cliffs here from the river water. The green color of the river water does not mean it is dirty, but rather a reflection of the green of the forests and cliffs near the river. Basically the flow of the river here is very beautiful.

I got here at noon, I purposely didn't go in the afternoon, considering the conditions at night here are still very mystical and there are still many wild animals. Because the "Pucok Krueng" forest is still very jungle and its cultural heritage is maintained, even in the "Pucok Krueng" river flow is still often found wild crocodiles, therefore visitors who come here are not allowed to swim or play too close to the river current, to anticipate the emergence alligators.

The journey to “Pucok Krueng” is very beautiful. The unspoiled scenery comes from nature, can be felt from the top of this river.

Thank you for following my journey today.

See you on the next travel.
