How do we make the power of love override the love of power?
What's happening between Russia and Ukraine is absurd
With lives dying because someone wants to become the lord
So, they resulted into taking lives with their guns and sword
The major problem of the world is this power tussle
Everyone wants to have a voice so they keep flexing their muscle
When two elephants decided to fight and hustle
Don't let us forget that the grass would be the one caught in the middle of the rustle
When we want to show goodness to others we are as slow as the turtle
But when we want to oppress another, we are as swift as the nuzzle
Everyone is in the midst of their tussle
Do we need to take innocent lives just to state our intentions?
It's worrisome to see what's happening with Ukraine at the hands of Russia. I read the news also and saw what's happening with Canada and the truckers too. What is the world turning into? Everyone who holds power wants to wield it at will just to remind everyone that they have the power to do whatever they like. Is this what the world has turned into? Is this the world we want to leave for younger generations where they have to repeat an unhealthy cycle?
It breaks my heart to see this news all over the world. It's heart-wrenching to see lives and properties being lost because of disagreements that can be avoided. How then do we go back to normal after this? Can those who lost loved ones and properties ever recover from this? What's the whole essence of this power tussle? What are we trying to prove to anyone? Is our desire to be right greater than the lives of those lost in the power tussle? Would we rather be right and lose people or be wrong and keep the sanctity of human lives? The world has lost its values, its morals and humanity is going down the drain.
What can we say to these things? How can we move on from this? How do we then undo all the evils that have been done and also make children who have seen this unlearn this? It's a crazy world we live in and this power tussle is pointless just like screaming into the ear of a dumb man. Violence is never the answer because there are things that could have been resolved without having to go to war. The nation that has been attacked would fold its arms? The nation would also want to respond to show its citizens that they are not weak and this is how war starts. This isn't looking good and might not end well either. I hope something is done to stop the potential war and more loss of lives and properties.
