Very interesting, if somewhat depressing. I don't hold out a lot of hope to be honest. The "community" don't really have any power anyway, except to shout from the sidelines. Unless a saner voice somehow mobilises us outside of the Steem witnesses. From all the slagging off that's been going on I don't see that happening.
I don't have the energy for it. I've made my peace with losing my money. If I don't . . . great but I'm not going to loose sleep over it!
The experience of being here these past few years has been worth every penny. What a ride it's been!

Those last two sentences are good to read, considering some of what I know of how it's been for you here, especially since I've been in some of those same situations myself.
I was thinking about the money today, too, and I guess I've been resigned to the fact for a while now that it all might vanish. At the very least, I haven't hit the panic button. Given what's going on, I'm considering that a plus.
I'm hoping there will be an adult in the room at some point. Not sure who that's going to be yet. Maybe an unlikely source? I don't know.
As it is, stake makes right, so unless you have whale SP and or are a witness, it's tough to have any cred with the powers that be.
I'm mainly doing this so that the blockchain bears record that I did. If it turns out someone stumbles upon it years from now hoping to figure out what went wrong, I hope to provide perspective.
In the meantime, for those of us in the here and now, I'm throwing it out there and seeing what sticks. :)
That's a lovely way to look at it Glen. I'm glad you're still here soldiering on. But I'm a bit concerned about your insomnia. Isn't it some godforsaken hour for you? 😂
Actually, it's a little after midnight, and I lost track of time. My wife doesn't like it when I do that. :)
