I can imagine that was unnerving. I've seen those videos of cops in the States pulling people over and whilst I suppose it's not all like that they certainly have their share of trouble. Getting shot at isn't a lot of fun and I can imagine how jumpy they may be.

We tend not to see that here, not that I'm aware anyway although many coos are very strict and to the point. I suppose it depends on who they pull over. I guess I'm a respectable guy so treat me that way. I have mates who are cops and they tell me stories though. Not a job I'd want to do...I'd probably night-stick people too much. Lol..
